Cartografree
A downloadable game for Windows
Hello! Welcome to my first game of 2023! Cartografree!
One of my goals at the start of the year was to join at least 1 game jam. And I had my eyes on a few through the year so far but just couldn't make the time or couldn't get a good idea. However I FINALLY managed to get the time and idea for something with Mini Jam 134! And this is the end result!

Cartografree is a simple adventure game where you look for treasure using just a boat and a map! Sail around the ocean, chat with locals, catch a few critters, and mark on your map to try and figure out where the location of Blood Beard's Treasure could be!
The game is either going to be VERY cryptic or VERY easy. I have no idea. No one other than me has played it so I have no feedback. Good luck!
KNOWN ISSUES
Just as a heads up!! The save function seems to be broken! You have to beat the game without closing it! Your save data WILL persist when returning to the main menu, but will be deleted upon closing for some reason!
There's also lots of other general problems with the game, but I that comes with the nature of making it so quickly. Like all my other games, you can expect an update sometime in the future. Sometime after the jam has ended :)

Charming game, i liked the dialogue.
Nice, charming exploration game. The NPC's were fun to interact with and the ability to mark positions on the map was a great feature. It was a little glitchy though - sometimes Beardbeard would be walking on the water and be sailing on land. Overall I enjoyed it and there was more to the game than I was expecting from a Mini Jam!
